Bio
 The Songirl Sez Show, features interviews, stories and reviews by Songirl, aka Fawn, an accomplished singer/songwriter. Her song Oneday raised awareness and over $5,000,000.00 for families affected by HIV/AIDS.
Fawn can currently be heard on The SONG TV produced Lifetime Movie, THe Natalee Holloway Story. Fawn was seen recently on Carson Kressley's How To Look Naked, Baldwin Hills, Celebrity Re-hab, Paula Abdul's BRAVO TV show, Hey Paula and has been seen on Inside Edition, Good Morning America, Fox11 news, KTLA Los Angles, Extra and Entertainment Tonight The Insider and many others.
As a recording artist and singer/songwriter she recently appeared in the 2009 Right Said Fred Music video I'm A Celebrity and won the Song Of The Year songwriting contest in the Electronic/Dance category for her song Into The Light. She was also asked to appear on the Film and TV Sound tracking panel at the 2009 Winter Music Conference in Miami. Her songs have been heard in several Film and TV spots including Young and The Restless, Guiding Light, Ugly Betty, Nip Tuck, !-800-Missing and many others.
She worked with BT, Meredith Brooks, Ed Townsend, QDIII, Darude, DJ Chad Jack, Val Watson (Club Nouveau), Jon Ernst (VH1/MTV), Lalah Hathaway, Paul Salamunovich, and shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Paula Cole, Chaka Khan, Thelma Houston, David Pomeranz and many others. She has also worked with an array of other celebrities, including Pamela Anderson, Joan Rivers, Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee, Martin Lawrence, Linda Perry, Magic Johnson, Ellen Degeneres, Jermaine Dupri, Hulk Hogan, Florence Henderson, James Callahan, and others appearing with them in film, TV and benefits for several worthy charities.
Fawn began her performing career at the age of six months, starring in national TV commercials. By age 10, she was playing piano, writing and singing jingles, which she continues to do. She has sung, written, produced and recorded voice over’s for several hundred radio and TV commercials all over the globe, including Lavazza, Barbie, Ford and Mazda. She has sung in different languages including Spanish, German, Latin, Italian, French and Chinese.
 Fawn won top songwriting awards from SESAC and Berklee while attending the world-renowned Berklee College Of Music in Boston. During this time, she acquired an additional degree, in Mass Communications. In 2005 she became a radio DJ at KLAS 89.7FM and KCLA 99.3 FM Los Angeles. Shortly after, she was asked to cover events for BBWpress magazine and LAsplash magazine.
As a recording artist, Fawn has lent her talents and songs to raise money for HIV/AIDS, Special Olympics, Penny Lane, Actors and Others, Silent Witness, Miracle Network and countless others. For three years she appeared as a model for the Old Hollywood Glamour calendars and recently appeared in a Plush Cats calendar. Her piano compositions can be heard in the short film, Channeling Alfonse and her music is featured on various TV shows, including the Lifetime show, Missing starring Vivica A. Fox.
Fawn teamed up with long time pal and recording artist, Vincent Covello (BT Loving You More fame), forming the group, Body, Soul and Mind which completed and released its debut album of the same title on Stonedef Records. Songs from the album were featured on a variety of music compilations over the past year, prompting Body, Soul and Mind to release another album in 2007, entitled Soulscape Vol. I in conjunction with celebrity chef Roman Hadrbolec's new cook book. (Chef to Tom Cruise, Cher, Jack Nicholson, Paul Newman and Arnold Schwarzenegger). Body, Soul and Mind traveled to Prague to perform at the Book/CD release party and pen a deal in the Czech and Slovak Republic. They have recently teamed up with Larry Granite and Ean Sugarman to realease a new dance hit in the coming months.
Besides her radio, jingle singing, songwriting, newswriting, modeling and entertainment career, Fawn owns and operates Terrace Studios,
her own state of the art digital recording studio. In her spare time
she enjoys mentoring others, helping them become acquainted with music
and prolific in piano, voice and songwriting. She believes that a gift
is as important as what you do with it. She also combines music and
rescue animal therapy for children and elderly who are bed ridden. Her
belief is that there is "no such thing as a 'problem' person or child,
only a problem in understanding.
Fawn has covered the Oscars, Pop Music Awards, Oprah’s Pop star Challenge, Lorenzo Owens, ASCAP Expo, Ashes and Snow Exhibit, Alison Armstrong-Celebrating Men, BET Awards, Rhythmn and Soul Awards, and many others, giving them a fresh perspective from an entertainer's point of view.
Multi-talented, and naturally charismatic, Fawn is no stranger to the red carpet, whether appearing on it, or working behind it does not matter to her. She shares her philosophy frequently with all she meets, 'There is no distinction or difference in the heart of humanity, we are all equally significant and the more candles you light in the world, the brighter it becomes.'
Fawn is one woman who loves the adventure in taking risks to make a positive, significant change in the world. As a gifted and versatile woman she is interested in all who share her dream and desire to make the world a more loving and compassionate place. She states, "Beethoven once wrote, ' into the heart it has sprung, into the heart it shall penetrate'...I believe and strive in this endeavor.”
